How we make Sense Central

Our standards for what we publish, how we source it and how we correct it.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertising and sponsorship. Sponsors have no advance access to unpublished content, and no ability to influence coverage. Sponsored placements are always clearly labelled.

Sourcing

Every claim in our articles is either based on primary sources, expert interviews, published data or clearly identified analysis. Higher-risk topics such as finance, investing, taxes and health carry an explicit “written by” and “reviewed by” byline plus a last-reviewed date.

Fact checking

Articles go through review before publication. Fact-checkable claims are verified. Any AI-assisted drafting is reviewed and edited by a human before publication, and low-quality automated content is never mass-indexed.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it and note the change on the article. Significant corrections are logged with a timestamp and a summary of what changed. Reach out via the contact page to flag anything you believe is incorrect.

AI use

We use AI in the drafting and editing pipeline. Final publication decisions and quality checks are made by humans. AI-generated summaries, key takeaways and flashcards on article pages are clearly labelled as generated.

No fabrication

We do not fabricate quotes, sources or data. Market and weather data comes from identified providers with delayed-vs-live status clearly communicated. If a provider fails, we display an unavailable state rather than stale numbers presented as current.
